The constant f/4 aperture ensures consistent exposure across the zoom range, while Optical SteadyShot image stabilization helps recover up to four stops of camera shake. The optical design includes a large AA aspherical element, additional aspherical and three ED elements to minimize chromatic aberration and keep the lens compact. Carl Zeiss T* coating reduces flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color fidelity, and dust‑ and moisture‑resistant construction ensures dependable performance.
