The lens is also perfect for astro- and landscape photography thanks to the fast f/1.8 maximum aperture and a new function "Astro-Focus Mode”. The unit incorporates an advanced optic design to reduce lens flare and ghosting for increased contrast and color fidelity. The Linear STM autofocus motor provides fast, quiet focus, and the nine-blade diaphragm produces a beautiful bokeh.
