The Nikon Z8 is a versatile and lightweight full frame mirrorless digital camera offering a great deal of the features from the Z9 in a more streamlined design. The camera features the FX-format 45.7MP BSI stacked CMOS sensor debuted in the Z9 to provide a good balance of resolution, quick readout times, exceptional clarity, and low noise. The device is around ten times faster than a Z7 II thanks to the EXPEED 7 Image Processor. This engine in conjunction with the stacked sensor design enables a large buffer, seamless video performance, astoundingly quick AF speeds, burst shooting rates, and snappy all-around handling. The Z8 employs the industry-leading 493-point phase-detection AF technology to achieve quick and precise focusing performance while covering the whole sensor area. With the use of inherited algorithms and deep learning technology from the Z9, such as advanced Subject Detection and Eye-Detection AF, the Z8 is able to identify a wide range of different subject types, ranging from humans to animals to airplanes. These subjects will be automatically identified, focused on, and tracked when using Auto-Area AF to ensure sharp focus even when the subject is moving across the frame. Thanks to its construction of environmentally friendly Seerebo carbon fiber and sturdy magnesium magnesium alloy, the Z8 weighing only 2 lb to be tough and manageable.
